All I can say Is WOW! This Module is a marvel. I decided to try flight sims again after a 10 year break. Mainly due to poor joysticks and low memory muscle. I've taken the plunge again and purchased the A10c and a Warthog Hotas. An amazing experience in VR. The training is a must in this plane and if you skip lessons, you're gonna get lost so do the same training missions over and over and over until you are ahead of the trainers instructions and you know the procedure by heart. Then move to the next Lesson. Initially, I could barely get the thing off the ground and once in the Air, I never seemed to have time to get things done before I needed to start another set of things. It was very confusing and made no sense. But after a Lot of youtube Videos and practice and More Videos, I'm finally able to (at least) turn the big gun on and set the different Reticules. Why do I set the different Reticules? No Idea. The trainer does tell me but I'm usually about three tasks behind him. It's all a learning experience. I was half tempted to buy a couple of Modules to try out but seeing as I have barely reached Lesson 3 after 20 hours (and still not knowing why I'm hitting certain buttons in the cockpit), I've decided to stick with the Hog for a good while. I can't see myself doing Campaigns anytime soon so there are many, many hours of stuff to be had. On a downside, the Aircraft start procedure seems to be bugged for me. Switching one of the left hand front panel switches to "Test" stops the procedure from continuing and completing. It just ends there and the trainer remains silent. Apart from that, its all been good.. This thing is an absolute prick to learn but once you can confidently start-up > take off > understand what the hell SOI and SPI means > navigate to your target > contact JTAC and understand what a 9-Line is > go full BRRRRRTTTT when said JTAC clears you > fire a Maverick here > drop a GBU-12 there > order your wingman to go BRRRRTTTTTTT as well > air-to-air refuel on the way home and finally land, it's one of the most satisfying gaming experiences you can have.I learned to fly the Hog back in 2014, I'm still flying it to this day and plan to keep doing so for years. Hopefully one day ED updates the Hog to support the Helmet Mounted Integrated Targeting (HMIT) system that the real thing received in 2012 because marking targets and slewing the targeting pod around with your head would be amazing.
